Johansen Skovsted

Johansen Skovsted Arkitekter is formed by the two architects, Søren Johansen and Sebastian Skovsted. Both Søren Johansen and Sebastian Skovsted have studied architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts Schools of Architecture, Design and Conservation (KADK). Sebastian Skovsted has furthermore conducted part of his studie at TU Delft. In addition to their practice they teach at KADK at the Institute of Architecture and Technology. The work of Johansen Skovsted Arkitekter seeks to derive its qualities from a cohesion of material, design and detail, complementing its sourroundings in an architectural dialogue. The practice thus strives to bridge the gap between contemporary building processes and materials, and basic architectural values, through a syntehsis of ideas, techniques and manufacturing methods.
