MOTIV Architects is a creative architectural practice located in Vancouver, BC. Our team shares a common passion that thoughtful design connects people and transforms communities. We seek out projects that build community. We believe that no person or project exists in isolation and that caring about a place requires acknowledging and leveraging both dependencies and impact on the bigger community. This requires taking the time to understand inherent potential of people and projects and to utilize the kinetic energy specific to a project to effect change. Our work, passion, research and pursuit of design excellence consists of three pillars firmly grounded beneath our overarching desire to build community in all aspects of our practice, and ultimately with the structures that we build. These include: Agriculture, food security and the interface of the urban and rural Alternate modes of living and affordable housing Innovative learning methods and spaces These pillars often overlap and collide – and it is here where the greatest opportunity for innovation exists – when interdependence, synergy and leveraging impact have real positive consequences
