P.R.O. - Peterson Rich Office

PRO is an AIA award winning interdisciplinary design studio founded in 2011 by Miriam Peterson and Nathan Rich. Our office practices continuous experimentation - seeking novel solutions by focusing on the specific set of problems at hand. Using the tools we have at our disposal – formal experimentation, material research, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and consensus building – each project builds upon the last and influences the next, allowing us to work across multiple scales: from details to city-wide proposals, and to find connections between them. Continuous experimentation extends our work beyond the traditional boundaries of the profession, from material exploration, to typology, to economics and politics, while focusing on architecture’s unique potential to contribute to its surroundings.
