Shape Architecture is a contemporary architecture firm with over a decade of experience designing low-impact, passive buildings that minimize energy use through high-performance construction systems and compact, simple mechanical systems. We believe buildings should be more comfortable to occupy, consume less energy, and respond better to the surrounding local community and climate. Shape’s Founding Principals, Morgan and Steve, are certified Passivehouse Designers - the most rigorous energy efficiency standard worldwide. Steve is also LEED AP certified. We customize the approach to sustainability for each project, and we’ve worked on projects with a range of sustainability goals, including Living Building Challenge, LEED, Passive House, and Net Zero. We are experts in sustainable architecture. We leverage building science to maximize health and comfort and minimize energy use. Our designs are highly contextual, work in harmony with the natural environment, and are beautifully resilient.
