The materials we work with are commonplace; however, our curiosity about them and their methods of assembly are not. Priority is given to an architecture that is clear, precise, and honest – that reduces architecture to its essence and reflects on what is absolutely necessary. Further measurability of architectural clarity is granted solely in a building whose form is developed through the intense working of materials and their methods of construction – an exploitation of materials and connections whose sensory and tactile qualities are revealed. Our architectural work has been recognized by the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Pennsylvania chapter of the American Institute of Architects and has also appeared in numerous national publications including the New York Times, The Chronicle of Higher Education, AmericanSchool & University magazine, and Athletic Business News. Our work has also recently been included in the Museum of Modern Arts’s 2008 exhibit Home Delivery: Fabricating the Modern Dwelling.
