​Installation for the world-famous Japanese masking tape brand “mt”, for the memorable 10th mt FACTORY TOUR. The exhibition, held once a year at the mt factory, shows the infinite possibilities of the mt’s masking tape​, ​ made of traditional Japanese paper washi. For the installation, Emmanuelle decided to use the most familiar masking tape with a width of 15 mm. The tape was especially created for the installation in Emmanuelle’s unique 100 different shades of colors. The installation was composed of 6000 ​thin ​lines of masking tapes, regularly layered vertically and diagonally​, creating a rhythmical immersive colorful space.​​ Visitors can walk through a ​tunnel cut out of the installation​​, experiencing ​the 100 colors gradation​ and its ​overlapping​ effects​​. ​ ​T​he colors and lines overlap and change depending on the viewing angle, creating a beautiful rainbow moire that creates various expressions. Walking through this immersive ​one hundred colors path, which was made up of ​a total of ​28 km length masking tape, people forgot time and enjoyed co​lors with their ​entire body.
