The empty spaces of the origami are filled with large glass panels allowing natural light in its interior. This feature, added with the transparent dome at the top of the building, gives a sensation of continuity between the exterior and the interior. Additionally, the structure of the terraces has been designed to increase the sight lines from the basin and accentuate the presence of the sky. The orientation of the buildings allows then a play of reflections and diffusion between the water and the natural light.

All sustainability elements - geo-thermal energy, water recycling - come together to form a coherent narrative that structures the project, and can be clearly read by the public. The project concept, with its accumulation of levels, extends the aquatic park into sun-lounges, terraces and restaurants; activities that can easily be linked to seasonal variations in attendance. The hall opens onto the lake and leads to the changing rooms. The visitors then discover the inner space of the aquatic park, designed as a large expanse of water strewn with islands of various sizes and different functions.

This archipelago extends outside, into the lagoon, accentuating, here again, the continuity between indoors and outdoors.
