The story of Al Khobar is one of perpetual transformation; a city shaped by its evolving urban landscape. As the first Saudi city planned on a grid layout, its streetscape once thrived as communal spaces for shopping, socializing, and daily life. However, decades of rapid expansion have led to the deterioration of the Old Town, where pedestrian life has been overshadowed by vehicular dominance, leaving a fragmented urban fabric and a fading cultural identity. In response, The Art Corridor emerges as the missing link, an urban thread weaving together Khobar’s Old Town to its waterfront.
