Additionally, we provide solutions ranging from selecting and blending low-carbon coffee beans to using low-carbon equipment for coffee production, as well as recycling coffee grounds and waste sorting. It is worth mentioning that the first carbon reduction visual recognition chart we released, in conjunction with the spatial journey, guides users towards positive behavior through multiple dimensions such as shape, color, magnitude and numerical changes. In the space, we integrate the common transportation methods with coffee grinders, allowing individuals to “ride” to grind their coffee beans.

This zero-carbon behavior not only reduces carbon emissions but also promotes physical exercise. Through this installation, we aim to stimulate curiosity and participation while providing users with data and knowledge related to eco-friendliness, connecting actions with rewards. Unlike conventional sustainable spaces, the Carbon Neutral Cafe Lab emphasizes proactive engagement through design. The project takes recyclable materials as the foundation and lies in design-led guidance. Through this space, we showcase the prototype of a low-carbon sustainable community, hoping to inspire people to join the team of sustainable development.
