Casa Naay

Located in Mérida, Yucatán, Casa Naay is conceived as a series of volumes that gravitate around a square platform. Along this central axis, the amenities—such as the pool—unfold as part of the same continuous circulation path. This layout directly responds to the site’s climatic conditions and surrounding vegetation. The design prioritizes cross ventilation and incorporates roof structures that enhance thermal comfort. The house rises on platforms supported by concrete and steel piles—a structural solution that lifts the building off the ground to promote airflow, an essential strategy in a hot and humid environment.
