Christensen & Co Architects have designed three sculptural terminal buildings along a 1.1 km long cruise ship pier at Nordhavnen. The harbour’s unique location, only 4 km from the city center of Copenhagen, and right on the cost of Oresund has made Nordhavnen a central hub for cruise ship traffic in northern Europe. Use of the terminals are divided in two functions: The terminals will handle ‘turn-around’ cruise ships during the summer time and host concerts, cultural events and exhibitions off-season.
