The Everyman is a new theatre in Liverpool that replaces the 19th century home of an internationally regarded playhouse. The scope of work includes a 400-seat adaptable auditorium, a smaller performance and development space, a rehearsal room, exhibition spaces, and catering and bar facilities, along with supporting offices, workshops, and ancillary spaces. The main façade is a large, collaborative work of public art that consists of 105 movable metal sunshades, each carrying a portrait of a contemporary Liverpool resident.
