The project poses the question of how vault bearing system which is associated with the construction of cross-arched domes [chartaqi], could hold a cubic space along its spatial expansion process. That is to say, how can a cube-like bulk both split up space and brace its structure due to the shape of arched vaults. In this project, cube surfaces have turned into dome-shaped figures under the influence of the semi-vaulted structural elements and embraced enclosed and semi-enclosed spaces. On the ground floor, there lie three semi-vaulted designs adjoining each other which in turn include the kitchen, the guest room, the mudroom by the entrance and the wide span open area between them that is actually the public interior zone of the house which is surrounded by a transparent cubic envelope to provide light and view throughout.
