HENN is an international architecture studio with over 75 years of experience in designing innovative work environments across office, science, healthcare, industry, education, and culture. An interdisciplinary team of 400 professionals works from offices in Munich, Berlin, Frankfurt am Main, and Shanghai. The design process is collaborative and driven by curiosity. HENN draws from the rich expertise of three generations and a global network of partners. All three generations share a common mindset: openness and curiosity. This spirit drives the studio to continuously question and redefine architectural typologies. HENN was founded in 1947 by Walter Henn in Dresden. Early on, he specialized in industrial buildings and played a key role in establishing the Braunschweig School through his academic work. In 1979, Gunter Henn took over the leadership in the second generation. He continued the focus on industrial architecture, research, and education while expanding the company further. Since 2021, Martin Henn has led the firm alongside a team of partners and an expanding group of shareholders. Today, responsibility for the now globally operating studio is shared across many shoulders.
