Jackie 'O Cantina

Jackie ‘O Cantina, is the latest addition to the legendary Jackie ‘O sites, located in Chora Mykonos. Inspired by the traditional chapels of the Aegean islands, the design approach of this laid back restaurant focuses on a minimal colour palette with emphasis given on the sculptural elements of the interior volumes that would provide an authentic atmosphere with contemporary attitude. A custom made system was designed to create the interior arch system of the ceiling. The extruded curves and arches create a unique interplay, acting as decorating elements, dividers and displays, while creating a serene ambience with a sense of flow. Screed concrete and marble in white tones create the main atmosphere of the interior. The choice of dark wood in the custom made bar and shelves highlight the design language offsetting the white interiors, while adding a modernist reference.
