When Agustín Vivancos, CEO of Jungle, contacted us, he conveyed the idea that it should be a space that favors unexpected interactions in order to be more dynamic. Removing the false ceiling was key to achieving this goal. This decision made it possible to project two floors, design an open-plan office with common spaces that encourage people to connect with each other, and also incorporate modular structures that function as rooms for teamwork sessions to promote privacy. On the ground floor acoustically insulated and air-conditioned fir wood boxes are placed to create open workspaces, rest areas, a tiered seating area for presentations, a dining room, workshop, storage and toilets.

A spiral staircase provides access to the second level, where the rest area and a meeting space for 10 people are located. Inspired by the urban jungle, as opposed to nature, the space embraces and reflects the cosmopolitan energy of the district. In 700 m², unfinished plasterboard, galvanized steel, tile and metal flooring dominate, combined with a grayscale complimented with fluorescent yellow and pink details. Restored Barcelona street lamps juxtaposed with fluorescent pink galvanized steel poles act as finishing touches to a project that evokes the rhythm of a cosmopolitan city like Barcelona, fast paced but also calm with Mediterranean tranquility.
