The Xiangfu Bridge Historic District Renewal centers around the Xiangfu Bridge, a national asset symbolizing China's Song Dynasty Canal Culture. It has witnessed the transformation of its industrial surroundings into a vibrant neighborhood. The redevelopment proposes a dynamic waterfront experience along the Wulitang River. Two new pedestrian bridges are introduced to facilitate connectivity, forming a fluid waterfront circuit to reduce pedestrian congestion while fostering community cohesiveness. The design prioritizes a visual interaction between the historic icon and its modern counterparts, guided by two prime vantage points.
