The restoration of the historic farmhouse “Mareinhof” is a bold intervention, while at the same time showing respect for the historic building. The interior has been changed radically, thus creating spacious rooms filled with natural light; the exterior of the building, however, has been left untouched. The new living area boasts a double-height space, allowing natural light to flood into the space through its glazed gable, and exposing the original wooden beams and added steel structure that now characterise this area.
