For Fora’s eighth flexible workspace at 42-46 Princelet Street, Piercy&Company drew inspiration from the rich heritage of the iconic Brick Lane in east London to showcase the best of British craft. 42-46 Princelet Street substantially refurbishes and extends an existing building, originally two buildings and since connected to form a single space. The design introduces a stepped one to two storey roof extension, gaining space and resolving issues of poor internal day lighting. The pleated roof space features large north light glazing, a contemporary version of the weaving lofts that once filled the Brick Lane area.
