Pugong Mountain is a limestone mountain. Over the decades, hundreds of kilns have been built to produce lime, causing serious damage to the environment. After the introduction of the national environmental protection policy, it became an abandoned limestone mine site. To promote the concept of sustainable development, the local government invited us to design the museum. We integrate the new museum with the existing limestone kilns, use the old kilns as the iconic gate of the geopark, transform the kiln roofs into viewing platforms, set the lime outlet of one of the old kilns as the main entrance of the museum, and "insert" the preserved old brick feeder ladder into the new museum.
