The project is located in the historical area which was once occupied by Germany in Qingdao. And its purpose is to solve the parking problem in the surrounding area. However, over-densified area houses, lacking of public space for citizens, and serious population aging and hollowing are also concerns of designer. How to inject vitality into the entire area through the project and bring about new development in the old urban areas is the starting point of our thinking. Therefore, we believe that in addition to meeting its own parking needs, the parking lot should be used as a public communication space for citizens, and even considered as a new impression of Qingdao's history, culture and Tourism.
