Retreat

A workspace retreat tucked into the steep overgrown slope of a remote hillside. The project is A quiet workspace/studio tucked into a steep hillside - the living space is situated on a plinth with a massive, rounded concrete retaining wall. This is a project about restraint - simple forms meeting complex landscape and developing a strategy to build in a remote environment. The concrete plinth is built in-situ and the main living space is composed of three partially prefabricated modules with site finished elements.
