The design continuously keeps the passenger in mind by creating unique experiences throughout and providing the same level of amenities to the business traveler as for the family on vacation, making the time before boarding useful and enjoyable. Beginning curbside, the heavy, opaque existing façade has been removed and replaced with a light and transparent one, featuring Nori Sato’s art glass “Air Over Under.” T2’s interiors feature light, airy spaces, as well as intimate and more colorful "Conversation Areas." The ticket lobby is designed to be warm and inviting, like a hotel lobby rather than a traditional civic building.

The ticket hall provides connections for arriving passengers to public and private transportation and leads departing passengers to security as they pass below Kendall Buster’s commissioned artwork “Topograph.”The "Recompose Area" immediately past security de-stresses travel in a pat-down world. Setting the tone for T2, the unique Recompose area is distinguished by copious daylight and gracious seating. With ample seating and views down the concourse, the area is designed to help travelers shake off any post-pat-down stress, re-dress and refresh their perspective.

The departures lounge is a large central park containing two children's play areas, a variety of seating for dining or just relaxing.
