This new 26,000 square foot suburban public library, contemplative garden, neighbourhood park and splash pad for the City of Brampton is framed by a commercial plaza to the east, Bramalea Road to the south, and a natural ravine to the north and west. The conceptual approach combines two formal devices to create an experiential relationship to the project's greenfield setting: an undulating, organic sectional topography, and the perimeter elaboration of a simple plan volume to weave together indoor and outdoor spaces.
