We believe that the relevance of the work "Su Vertical nos retiene" is related to the following factors: It is a public competition where Art and Architecture develop the same commission; a significant public space, a habitable sculpture. Winning first place in this proposal and its construction complete the perspective of a previously unfinished park. It is a place intended for public use, contemplation, and meeting of the users of a park in one of the most populated communes of Santiago. The work represents a poem by the poet Gabriela Mistral (Nobel Prize in Literature) about the Cordillera, the vertical steel columns represent the Cordilleran profile and frame it, generating a unique symbolic and social space in Chile.
