Tianfuli Kindergarten

The kindergarten is located in the core area of Tianfu New District of Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China. This district is a demonstration for the concept of Park City. In recent years, intensive development of urban environment had directly impact on children’s perception and judgement of surroundings. This increases the possibility of children’s physical and mental health develop into one-sided and extreme. MUDA-Architects designs based on the concept of comprehensive development of children. It is known through research, that color and natural elements play an important role in the development of children’s sensory growth, emotional changes, cognitive building, and ability learning. We therefore proposed the design concept of “Forest Canyon”. By linking color and nature with the location, the design provides a novel, ecological and evolving experience for the kindergarten, while echoing the concept of Park City. The construction area of the project is 4,880 square meters. The architecture unfolds a relaxing environment with cheerful colors, luxuriant vegetation and diversified spaces, providing more possibilities for children to develop naturally.
