Photographer: Paul CrosbyThe University of Northern Iowa’s Multimodal Transportation Center consists of:• Parking for 490+ vehicles.• An enclosed passenger waiting area.• Passenger shelters constructed at five new and existing bus stops on campus.• Solar panel array that will result in a net- zero electricity use for the building.The project provides a net gain of approximately 281 parking spaces on the site. In addition, the project provides a central location for off-campus residents and visitors to park and have access to the University transit system.
