Drawing inspiration from the existing Arthur Erickson architecture and the striking coulee landscape, the new Science Commons creates an open, transparent and welcome space for the study and observation of science in action. The new Science Commons at the University of Lethbridge is designed by Stantec and KPMB Architects to foster a strong science community through the promotion of trans-disciplinary research, knowledge transfer and commercialization. It was designed to bring that science community to the public, making the study and research spaces accessible to high school students, families, businesses and service organizations, as well as creating a resource for K-12 teachers.
