In the architectural design of the villa, two major issues were taken into consideration and addressed. 1- The study and analysis of the villa's internal layout, including the arrangement and organization of its inner spaces. 2- The villa's connection and harmony with nature, which is how it should be situated in a mountainous area near Qalat, a stone village by Shiraz. In response to the first issue, our design for the villa included an alley within the project that, like a traditional alleyway, connects different parts of the villa's inner spaces.
The alley begins on the lower level of the site. It leads through the fountain, the outdoor area, the swimming pool, and the living area until it reaches the second entrance. In other words, the alley traverses the entire project, organizing the spaces and shaping the form. Regarding the second issue, it should be noted that Iranian architecture is characterized by its brick architecture, associated with its dry and hot climate. A significant aspect of Iranian architecture that is overlooked is the architecture of the mountainous and cold regions of the country.
Therefore, the purpose of this project is to illustrate the possibilities of architectural design in mountainous areas and to employ stone material in its natural form.
