We interpreted the building as a Peculiar-Looking Rock standing by the lake, and imagined that thousands of years ago, ancient sages and scholars leaned on the rock to drink and write poems. Therefore, we began to think about how to combine traditional aesthetic experiences with contemporary lifestyles. We hope that the architectural shape will eventually take on a natural shape, just like the rocks in nature. Consequently, the five natural Taihu Rock shapes are expressed in contemporary metal, and retain the original shape as well as the rough texture of rocks's surface.

The rectangular architectural shape is cut in different directions by the five Taihu Rock shapes. Not only providing five interesting drinking scenes in the cave, but the natural curves and concave texture of rocks also provide a wonderful facade effect. The choice of black woodgrain bare concrete for the building facade, the restrained lines, colors, materials create a strong contrasting effect with metal caves. The four metal caves facing the lake are used as semi-outdoor spaces to set up different scenes for guests to take photos and experience the fun of traditional drinking.

The metal cave facing the street is insulated from street noise with glass, and is used as a private room for guests to entertain and play the guzheng or zither. The setting of these scenes enhances the interaction between the indoor and outdoor areas of the bar. Then guests arriving by boat can dock at the entrance of the ground floor cave entrance; guests on the second floor can drink and fish leisurely; pedestrians on the street can look up and see the bustling scene in the private room; tourists playing in the water on the shore can hear the music coming out of the caves.

Two wine barrel installations are designed in the roof bar, one of which is inserted into the private room of the top floor, so that pedestrians standing on the inner street can directly see the green trees on the roof. The other barrel installation serves as a stairwell leading up to the third-floor cave. In addition, a slope is set up as a path to the roof bar where guests can walk up to the roof bar gently through the sloping path. The black gravel paving creates a line of flowing water on the ground of roof bar with ink brush strokes, like water flows out of the barrel installations on the roof, where guests can sit and drink by the "riverside", a modern interpretation of the image of the " Winding stream party ".
