Fabulous Group - Wulai Parking Structure

The design aims to create a visual experience involving the driver's perspective in direct relationship to the parking structure perceived. The facade was generated using a parametric design method/program (grasshopper) along with the surface modeler (Rhino) and cad software to simulate a sweeping sensation of movement when viewing the parking structure from within the car. The folded line of this particular sweep was inspired by the natural surroundings of the site specifically the mountains. This sweep of undulation was materialized by extrusions of aluminum with varying angles meant to keep away the western exposure of direct sunlight. The entire fabrication process involves the use of digital application as well as 3D CNC for precision and installation. Links: - https://vimeo.com/95820245
