Xiazhu Lake Resort

The project is located in Xiazhu Lake National Wetland Park and is positioned as a wetland resort destination hotel. Both sides of the site face the water and face the wetland. Therefore, the original wild style and diverse and active ecosystem of the wetland have become the most important starting point in the design process. Most of the building volume retreats as the background, leaving a transition space with the gentle wetland to ease the conflict between the building and the original ecological environment. In terms of modeling form, the swinging pointed roof imitates the common tufted plants in the wetland and hides the geometric elements in nature. The concession buffer space has become a stage for communicating wetland ecology. The plain arched fair faced concrete near the water space reflects the dynamic water ripple, between the dynamic and static, showing the space tension and time vitality. In addition, the introduction of green roof and wetland vegetation has become a part of wetland ecology.
