D.TO, Design TOgether

Design documentation platform that provides a collaborative way to learn more and work smart.

About

“The collaborative way to learn more and work smart” Despite the abundant digital tools in the AEC, the architectural design sector doesn’t have practical software to assist the mid-late phase when designers resolve the building assembly design that affects the building energy performance and the life cycle as the determinant of the carbon footprint.

Resolving building assembly design requires significant domain knowledge, including in-depth building science and experience via hands-on mentoring and close collaboration with other trades that become even more challenging in post-pandemic work environments.

As a result, architects still rely on exhaustive searches for design references and endless products, and laborious drafting, which makes about 60% of the project’s time and budget highly inefficient.

D.TO is developing a collaborative design platform that can: • Analyze design problems and data from the BIM platform directly. • Suggest a building assembly design solution in a visual diagram. • Provide 24/7 design guidance for mentoring. • Integrate BIM components of the selected products into a project efficiently. (Coming December 2023) • Enable design individuals to search for relevant building products by comparison within BIM. (Coming February 2024) .
